Alexander Moszkowski

(January 15, 1851 in Pilica near Za wiercie, died. September 26, 1934 in Berlin) was a German writer and satirist of Polish-Jewish origin. He was the brother of compo ser and pianist Maurice Moszkowski. Moszkowski was born in Pilica , but from early childhood, grew up in Wroclaw. Upon graduation he moved to Berlin, where he worked from 1877-1886 satirical magazine Berliner Wespen (Berlin wasps). As a result of a dispute with the publisher, abandoned the job and started his own newspaper, Lustige Blätter (Merry pages) which appeared to the time of the Weimar Republic.
